Install on Shopify in three steps

Open the theme code
In Shopify admin go to Online Store, then Themes. On your current theme click the ⋯ menu and choose Edit code. Duplicate the theme first if you want a safe copy.

Find theme.liquid
In the Layout folder open theme.liquid and scroll to the closing </body> tag near the bottom of the file.

Paste and save
Paste the one-line snippet below on the line above </body>, replace app-XXXXXXXX with your App ID, and click Save. The bubble is live on your storefront.

Optional: data-mavrk-color="#16a34a" sets the bubble colour and data-mavrk-theme="light" or "dark" pins the theme.

What Shopify requires. Shopify warns that code edits are removed if you later install a theme update, so keep the snippet handy. A paid theme you are still trialling cannot be edited until you buy it.

Worth knowing. The bubble shows on storefront pages. Shopify controls the checkout pages, so the chat does not appear there.

Common questions

Will it break my theme?

No. It is one script line before the closing body tag, the same place analytics tags go. It does not change any section or template. Delete the line and it is gone.

What happens when I update my theme?

Shopify says theme updates remove code changes. After an update, paste the line into the new theme.liquid again. It takes a minute.

Does it know my products?

It reads the pages of your store that are public, including product and policy pages, and answers from them. You can also upload a price list or FAQ file in your MAVRK dashboard.

What does it cost?
